Members of the flute studio at our 2019 Spring recital!
Eastern Washington University students at Flute Studio Solo Night
My goal is to teach my students to become confident and creative players who can eventually learn to become their own teachers. No matter what they decide to do later in life, the skills that they learn in lessons will apply to other areas, such as focus, perseverance, organizational skills, responsibility, and more. No matter what level, any student can become successful through hard work, patience, and dedication. Since every student has differing needs, lessons are individualized to those needs, but always include working on:
*Tone *Scales *Articulation *Intonation *Dynamics *Phrasing *Technical and lyrical etudes *Solo repertoire from different time periods *Ensemble playing through duets *Chamber music *Band music *Orchestral music
I love helping my students reach their full potential - it is fun for me to get to know each one of them and see them grow as players!
BENEFITS OF BECOMING PART OF THE FLUTE STUDIO: *Opportunities to perform in studio recitals *Playing chamber music with other studio members *Group masterclasses with guest artists *Free tickets to performances such as flute recitals, flute choir, and orchestra performances *Gatherings to meet other flute studio members and families
